En jämförelse mellan ekonomistyrningen i Ferrosan A/S och Contingency theory har visat på en hel del likheter, men även vissa intressanta skillnader. Likheterna har främst funnits inom situationsvariabeln omgivning. Den mest intressanta skillnaden berör kopplingen mellan kontrollverktyget budgetering och situationsfaktorn strategi, där det förefaller finnas vissa oklarheter om budgeteringens roll givet en viss strategi. Tecken tyder på att omgivningsvariabeln i Ferrosans fall är överordnad strategivariabeln. Avslutningsvis är det tydligt att Contingency theory fortfarande är outvecklat inom vissa områden.

Uppsatsens syfte är att beskriva budgetanvändningen hos företag och utifrån ett antal situationsfaktorer analysera denna användning med Contingency theory som berör ekonomistyrning. Metoden som ligger till grund för denna uppsats är både av kvantitativ och kvalitativ karaktär. Det kvantitativa återfinns i form av en surveyundersökning och det kvalitativa i form av fyra fallstudier. Uppsatsens angreppssätt är vidare abduktiv. Although  ?naming and shaming? paedophiles are growing in Sweden, professionals working with the rehabilitation and treatment of paedophiles describe that the naming and shaming might not prevent child sex abuse. On the opposite naming and shaming alienates the perpetrator from any ordinary life. The alienation could lead them to only having other paedophiles as friends. Previous studies show that professionals are often distancing themselves from working with paedophiles, even if there is competence.

Bakgrund: Corporate rebranding är ett relativt nytt fenomen som innebär att ett företag väljer att omdefiniera sitt varumärke på grund av förändringar inom företaget eller omgivningen. Men det är fortfarande relativt ostuderat och ingen studie behandlar den eventuella kopplingen med en dynamisk marknad.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att skapa en förståelse för hur fenomenet corporate rebranding fungerar inom en dynamisk marknad, där vi valt att utgå från telekombranschen som exempelmarknad.Metod: Studien har en hermeneutisk ansats med ett deduktivt angreppssätt för kopplingen mellan teori och empiri. Studien har vidare använt sig av en komparativ design med fallstudieinslag utifrån en kvalitativ strategi.Referensram: Referensramen består av teorier om dynamiska marknader som leder in till globalisering, lokalisering samt glokalisering. Därefter definieras varumärke med respektive underliggande teorier och avslutningsvis corporate rebranding.Slutsats: Den dynamiska marknaden har gett upphov till ett stort antal rebranding-processer inom branschen, där tre strategier för att hantera ett nytt globalt varumärke har identifierats. Det finns många faktorer och omständigheter runt en organisation som påverkar hur man väljer att utforma organisationen i fråga. Syftet med detta arbete är att finna faktorer som påverkar utformningen av ideella föreningars näringsverksamhet för att bidra till den teoretiska förståelsen av beslutsfattande inom ideella föreningar samt att ge ett kunskapsbidrag till beslutsfattare i mindre ideella föreningar som bedriver näringsverksamhet om relevanta faktorer att beakta. För att finna dessa används contingency-teorin, som den presenteras av Donaldson (2001), och de faktorer och omständigheter som söks kallas contingencies. Föreningarnas organisation delas in i två delar: (1) organisatorisk utformning samt (2) juridisk form och skattemässigt upplägg. Tre kristna församlingar har undersökts och enligt studien kan ideellt aktivas ekonomiska kunnande (där arbetsdelningen mellan ideella och anställda förändras) och näringsverksamhetens omfattning (där större omfattning påverkar avståndet mellan näringsverksamhet och huvudverksamhet) urskiljas som contingencies för den organisatoriska utformningen.

This study examined the factors influencing dairy farmers´ decisions to invest in automated milking systems (AMS). The problem studied involves uncertainty, information and complexity for dairy farmers in specific decision contexts. The frame of reference in the thesis combines Contingency theory and decision theory and is used in a qualitative analysis of a set interview with dairy farmers who have recently bought an AMS and salespersons from Delaval, one of the AMS suppliers.The aim of this study is to develop an understanding of the decision making processes of dairy farmers, and in particular to identify which types of factors influence the outcome of an investment decision in the technological development of a farm.The study uses Thompsons` (1967) theory about the structure that organizations develop to handle the input of information. Thus, interest is focused on how a farm business structure handles information in the AMS decision, investigating the differences in information with Delaval?s "feed first principle" system and Lely?s "free cow traffic" system.The results of the qualitative interviews with the dairy farmers who bought an AMS show that there are three important factors that influence the outcome: employees, suppliers and the owner.
